Men's group - Tuesdays @ 7:30pm This confidential group for men is co-led by Dr. Oren and Mark A. Stevens, Ph.D., director of the student counseling center at CSUN and avid biker. In a relaxed, strength-based style, topics of the group can include relationships, anger expression, gender roles, career issues, problem solving vs. "listening/feeling", provider role, etc. Dr. Stevens has specialized in men's issues since 1981, written numerous professional articles as well as a book on men and masculinity. He was selected by the American Psychological Association as a featured therapist in a video demonstrating counseling with men. This group offers men a genuine space to be heard and to learn. Limited to eight members. |
